Meet the Member: Roxanna Mullins

Roxanne Mullins is an artist, piano teacher and mot her of two living in the Omaha area. She is a native Nebraskan and has been an artist most of her life. She uses oil and mixed media to express her love of nature and color. Roxanne holds degrees in Studio Art and Art History from Doane College, Crete, Nebraska. Her work has been accepted and has won awards in numerous regional juried shows. Artist Statement
“I love nature, color and shape. I am inspired by all subjects of nature and I enjoy painting them in a bright and stylized manner. Flowers, trees, birds, animals. . . all serve as muses for my artwork. My work has also been influenced by many artists including Chagall, Matisse, O’Keefe, and the iconic figures of Southwestern religious art.”Past exhibitions include Sioux City Art Center, Sioux City, IA; Fred Wells Exhibition, Wesleyan University, Lincoln, NE; Art in the Woods-Overland Park, KS; Prairie Lights Show-MONA, Kearney, NE; Wings Over the Platte Show, Stuhr Museum, Grand Island, NE; Cathedral Arts Flower Festival, Omaha, and solo shows at Doane College, Crete, NE and Hot Shops Art Center, Omaha, NE.
